Sorry it's been so long since we posted an update...the boys have already met with Santa and put their request in. I am not sure how they will fare this year as they have occupied Santa's naughty list on several ocassions already! Santa seems to be having much patience this year and hopefully the little angels will grow new halo's soon!haha. We wish all of our family and friends a very Happy Holidays and may all have a blessed New Year!

Hi there! Just to catch everybody up post-Ike. The kids are already putting in requests to Santa...you never know if he will deliver! Jachin learned to ride a bike Saturday, October 6th...it took him about 5 minutes or less. Greyson on the other hand hasn't had much luck, he has decided he wants a new pair of training wheels instead. Jachin has joined the "Mad Science" club at school which meets every Monday for an hour. A group from NASA's educational outreach come and do experiments with the kids and teach science. He loves it! He is also practicing every week for the Christmas Play. Jachin has already learned some fundamental reading & math skills and he is loving school. Greyson on the other hand is in Pre-K and has great fun on the tumble bus and enjoys telling the cafeteria lady what to cook! Both of the boys went yesterday (10/22) to the eye doctor for their first visit. Jachin has perfect vision...Greyson...not so perfect...he has strong astigmatism in both eyes and is farsighted. Needless to say he is getting glasses and will undergo another series of eye tests to try to speed up the treatment of the astigmatisms. The astigmatisms are affecting his ability to see distance and his far-sightedness is affecting his ability to see up close...who can win with that? Grey can use a small miracle now =) Other than those items...we are just having fun!

WE SURVIVED IKE!

Just to update everyone we are currently without power again after having it for a whole week. Anyway we spent 10 days in the Ft. Worth area (Granbury) during Hurricane Ike and we owe a huge Thank You to our pastor friends Rev. Jacob & Theresa Stump for letting us stay with them during the storm (and many days after!). We had only minor damage to the house and of course everything in the yard was blown away including the fences. Thank you Lord for that which was spared!
The pictures are of the boys riding our friends horse (Penny) out on the farm. Both of the boys enjoyed chasing the chickens...never a dull moment!

Let Kindergarten Begin - Click on photo to make it larger!

Today was Jachin's first day of kindergarten at Shady Crest Elementary. He was very excited to go...probably more than his mommy and daddy were! Greyson starts Pre-K on Monday.

Hey there! Sorry for being so long-winded in not putting something new out here...after all we had to wait for Hurricane Eduardo to pass over, then celebrate our 7th wedding anniversary, and then endure one more birthday for Brian (34!)...oh wait that's me! And let's not forget Jachin had to be registered for school (Kindergarten) for which he is very excited. Greyson will be attending Pre-K and Mandy will be teaching Pre-K (not Greyson's class!)...We are busy every day of the week so we try to keep Monday night set aside for family night...that means do as little as possible and play in the pool with the kids...we love all of you...and here are a few pics taken in the last few days....and look at baby Jaxin he is getting big!

My how time flies! oops! flys!! Anyway the July 4th holiday came quickly and passed and this past week was jammed packed with running to and fro with church activity and getting the boys ready for school. Of course not to mention the boys are always into something: This past Saturday Jachin received an eye injury and got to visit the emergency clinic...this was due to his daddy horse-playing in the pool...and his daddy definitely paid for that one! Anyway Jachin will recover fully with daily eye drops for another week, no damage was done to the "seeing" part of the eye...thank goodness. With that being said Greyson decided today...yes today...that he could not be outdone by his older brother, so with less than gymnastic skill he flipped off the top of the couch and smashed down face first into the floor, ultimately planting his teeth all the way through his bottom lip down to his chin....so back to the emergency clinic I sped today to meet him there...bloody clothes and all. He too will make a full recovery and thankfully no stitches were required....now you are up to speed...and believe me it won't slow down from here! More later...
